You may have noticed this website is not a shop. I wanted to create a virtual gallery, an evolving, growing exhibition of sorts.
My purpose in making things is not to sell them - but rather to indulge in the experience of the creative process in ‘just making’. I do not need to earn a living from my pieces and I have deep respect for my fellow artistans that do. It is hard, hard work, mentally and sometimes physically.
In creating something you imbed and expose your strengths, insights and quite vulnerable aspects of yourself in every piece. Hence, every little bit of earth contains a little bit of me in time and place.
‘But’! …. if you were really interested in owning a ‘little bit of earth’, then please contact me here and you can be assured that your purchase will be ‘reinvested’ back into my work, into me, and then by default, my family, and the community studio - and then every little bit of my earth will contain a little bit of me…. and you :)
My work is exhibited and for sale in our local art shows and some local galleries too.
